Charles Coleman enters a new era with the appointment of a new Partner

by | 1 April 2024 | News

Effective 1 April 2024, Gita Kapoor will be promoted to Partner at Charles Coleman.

Gita Kapoor has a dual role of a practising solicitor and head of marketing and business development. Her appointment follows a prolonged period of growth at the firm, and Gita will continue to focus on marketing legal services and supporting the property team as a solicitor. Gita said, “I look forward to embracing my strategic role of identifying business development opportunities and ensuring excellence in client care and quality standards across the firm”.

Another change is that having transferred to a part-time role in 2023 after Nathan Kapoor took up the reins as Managing Partner, John Humphreys will be moving to a part-time consultancy role at the firm from 1 April.

Commenting on the appointment, Managing Partner Nathan Kapoor said: “As a firm, we are fully committed to maximising the potential of all our team and are delighted that Gita is joining the partnership. As John eases into semi-retirement in his consultancy role, we would like to thank him for his long-term dedication to the firm and hope to build on the strong foundations he laid for us.”

This promotion is the latest in a busy six months for Coleman Charles, which also acquired Seakens Solicitors at the end of October 2023 as part of the firm’s expansion strategy to increase the breadth and depth of its client offering.
